Hontz Farm Produce

At Hontz Farm, we follow Organic farming practices. We use no pesticides, herbicides,
fungicides, or any non-organic products. We use natural, organic, or eco-friendly practices to
combat pests when necessary. This looks like spraying Kaolin Clay (a natural and organic clay
that can be used as a spray), neem oil (an oil from a tree that discourages squash bugs,
beetles, and other pests), and BT (an organic product derived from marigolds), on our veggies.
Often, we pick pests off by hand. We are opening our blueberry orchard for limited and
scheduled U-Pick times. Contact Hilary Armstrong to see if there might be a time that works to
come to pick berries for yourself. The orchard is far from water and shade, so bring your water
bottles, plenty of sunscreen, and bug spray.
