Bixler Lake Park surrounds the 117-acre lake, providing unique opportunities for outdoor recreation and education. Circling the lake are a pedestrian walkway and nature trail with observation platforms perfect for observing wildlife. Six open-air pavilions are available for reservation and numerous playgrounds provide fun for children. Fishing, boating, and swimming are popular activities. Kayaks are available for rent through the Bixler Lake Campground office (seasonal; call 260-242-6898.) Other facilities include a lighted softball field, campground, tennis courts and basketball courts.
